Project carried out between 2001 and 2003.
There are images scattered around the world that have always been there before us: polychrome figures of saints and gods under any roof, traffic signs stepping aside, and playing cards on a four-legged table. We would think that we will find them in all our destinations and we would also think that finding them, just that, is our destiny and, therefore, one of the ultimate causes of our existence.
What we had not thought of until we thought of it is that we could replace all the figures, signs and cards with others and that in our future destinations we would encounter unknown images, and that finding them, just that, would be our destiny and, therefore, one of the ultimate causes of our existence. For example: until today, it was very difficult not to come across a Spanish deck of cards at some point in your life; from today onwards, it will be very difficult to come across the marked cards of the chronicler Pep Carrió.
