What is art for?
We leave the difficult task of defining art and dividing it into subgenres to the scholars, avoid any conflict between artists and designers, ignore the reflective nature of contemporary art, and focus exclusively on art and its applications.
We thus find ourselves with a form of functional domestic art or ‘home art’. The artist becomes an activist and works for the common good, bringing practical art objects into our lives and homes, the investment in which will easily pay for itself through their use.
